My name is Vashil Roopnauth, 18 years old and I have joined the family business (RVNV CO LTD, as (PPC) Production Planning Control Supervisor this year 2021. My job consists of taking orders, interact with clients, understand their needs and requirements, and plan production accordingly followed by a quality control

I am passionate about Environment, nature preservation, sustainable living. My entire youth is linked with my family business. I work in the workshop with my parents and wish to follow their steps for a good cause for nature. I am passionate about Reuse, recycling, upcycling, repurpose, bricolage, DIY, and making furniture and decors out of waste materials.

I am taking over the family business to a next new level thanks to my parent's blessings and introducing new ideas, new concepts, and new goals.

• The Family business
• RVNV CO LTD manufactures handicrafts, recovers, repurpose, reuse, recycle waste materials mainly wooden pallets and recycles them into crates/boxes, furniture, and interior exterior decorations. The company runs the Facebook page Tou Zafr Ti Prix, Bconcept.mu, and Pallet Intense. The business exists since 2012 and officially corporate registered in July 2019.

• The Idea
• Turning other wastes materials such as Old tires, oil drums, car parts, dead woods, pallet woods, old furniture, industrial wastes, old lockers, etc into furniture, interior, and exterior decors. Expansion and diversification/scaling up the business and maximization of waste materials is a must.

• Aim of the fundraising
• Severely hit by covid-19, I am raising ( Rs 500,000) enough capital to kick start and develop the family business to new challenges and keep the business on track by :
• Developing new products out of wastes
• minimizing waste materials to landfill by maximizing wastes as resources
• participating in both local and international Expo events and proposing our sustainable products and services
• preparing for the first participation in ‘Le Grand Salon de la Maison Et Du Jardin’ SVICC Pailles Mauritius (7 April-11April)
