Almost eight weeks ago, on 14 July 2026, our family’s world changed in an instant.
Starr was involved in a serious scooter accident and suffered devastating injuries to her leg, including a severe degloving injury and fractures to her fibula.
Since then, she has been in hospital undergoing extensive treatment, surgeries and skin grafts. Thankfully, Starr is now making her way through recovery, but she still has a long road ahead before she can get back on her feet, return to work and resume normal life.
Anyone who knows Starr knows she’s always busy, creative, and dreaming up her next adventure. Just before the accident, she was preparing to launch her own small business, Soda Starrs, selling delicious “dirty sodas” at local markets. She was so close to getting started when, suddenly, everything had to be put on hold.
Right now, her full-time job is healing. ❤️
Unfortunately, being unable to work for such a long period brings its own financial challenges. We’re raising funds to help Starr through this difficult time by contributing towards her ongoing recovery-related expenses and everyday living costs while she is unable to earn an income.
Our hope is to give Starr some financial breathing room so she can focus on what matters most, getting better! And then when she’s ready, getting Soda Starrs back up and running.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference. If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing this fundraiser would also mean the world to our family.
