PROJECT BOOST – First Video Game from our Island

ImmersionPlus Co. Ltd is a start-up company of dreamers, thinkers and innovators. It is one of the very companies in the island whose  main area of activity involves technology, relating to Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, 3D Visualisation and Game Development. Its wide spectrum of talents makes it the perfect team to kick-off innovative ideas as we all know that the fuel of this industry is primarily passion.

The team at ImmersionPlus is proud to present the first video game on Steam from Mauritius; Project Boost. The game  falls under the category of shooter games; it is a single player experience, where the player has to skillfully clear his/her way from enemy waves and unlock new abilities as the game progresses, using them to their advantage. Despite being a single player, the development is adding more and more components/challenges to the game each week to promote friendly competitions at an international level.

Project Boost did a soft launch on the 18th of April 2021 on Steam. It is one of the most recognised platforms for all categories of Video Games; from the smallest titles to triple A games, Steam is the go-to place for the gaming community. Project Boost is no exception and is competing among hundreds of games released every month.

This initiative by the small, but passionate team at ImmersionPlus is to promote and showcase our island on the global gaming industry. The video game industry is one of the few markets that continues to grow, even during our current recession. As technology advances, new and exciting ways to deliver entertainment keep users coming back for more.

The video game industry is a pioneering venture for Mauritius to strive into. With young local talents being more aware of what’s happening globally, we will soon see aspiring gamers and game developers, with the support of the government, releasing 100% made in Mauritius games and undertaking gaming events that will redefine us as the Gaming Hub for Africa.

This is why we, at ImmersionPlus, are soliciting your generous contribution to promote this first ever endeavour. The funds will directly go into promoting Project Boost internationally on all leading platforms. From Influencers of the gaming community to leading review magazines, the aim is to broadcast the game, enhance visibility and bring its attention to all gamers of this genre.

Our long-term goal is to become a platform for aspiring local talents to push their creativity and skills with the proper channeling. And simultaneously build a pool of talent to sustain local 100% made in Mauritius games published internationally, with bigger and more ambitious titles.

As a token of gratitude, we will give a free copy to all contributors above Rs200.
