Since 1930, the Mon Tresor Mon Desert Shree Drawbaday Ammen Tamil Alagum Kovil has been more than just a place of worship—it has been the heartbeat of our community, preserving the rich Tamil heritage of Mauritius through:
Thaipusam Cavadee – Where devotees carry kavadis in penance and devotion
Thimidee – The radiant fire-walking ceremony that tests faith
Saraspedee Poisei – Sacred offerings for blessings and prosperity
Canjee – The communal feast that unites us all
This sacred ground, officially registered in 1967, was built by the sweat and prayers of South Indian laborers. Now, 94 years later, we face our greatest challenge: completing the renovation to ensure this legacy lives on!
Our Sacred Goal: Raise 1.8 Million MUR
