MASS STERILIZATION CAMPAIGNS FOR STRAY ANIMALS
Help Us Stop Animal Suffering at Its Source
Steriliz Ou Zanimo is a registered Mauritian NGO (Registration No. 16830, active since 2021) dedicated to tackling animal overpopulation in a humane, ethical and sustainable way: sterilization. We are officially registered with the NSIF to receive CSRs.
Our missions :
1. Raise public awareness about the importance of sterilization
2. Organize free, large-scale sterilization days across the island, made possible by our mobile sterilization unit, operational since February 2025.
In 2025 :
-
26 sterilization days organized across Mauritius
-
1,269 dogs and cats sterilized
In 2026, our goal is ambitious but necessary: to double this number.
To achieve this, we want to intensify our efforts for stray dogs and cats, through humane capture–sterilize–release programs, always with full respect for animal welfare.
Why Your Support Matters
Every unsterilized animal can give birth to dozens more, many of whom will face hunger, disease, abuse or a life on the streets.
Sterilization is the only proven, long-term solution to break this cycle of suffering.
Our Crowdfunding Goal
With Rs 400,000, we will be able to fund approximately 330 sterilizations.
- 330 animals sterilized
- thousands of unwanted births prevented
- a measurable and lasting impact on animal welfare in Mauritius
