HSC Coursework Project- CrowdFunding
HSC Coursework Project
Our project, led by Group “Bane Tii Zilwa” from Adventist College, is part of our Higher School Certificate (HSC) assessment and focuses on the development of ecotourism in Mauritius. The main objective of this project is to understand how tourism can be managed in a sustainable way while protecting the environment and benefiting local communities.
To achieve this, we have planned an educational field visit to Parc Loisir de Gros Cailloux, a site known for its natural setting and environmentally conscious practices. During this visit, we will conduct observations, gather first-hand data, and carry out interviews to better understand how sustainability is applied in real-life tourism operations.
This project goes beyond academic requirements. It allows us to develop important skills such as teamwork, communication, critical thinking, and environmental awareness. It also helps us gain practical knowledge about sustainable development, which is essential for the future of Mauritius as a tourism-based country.
However, we are currently facing financial challenges in covering essential expenses such as transport, activity fees, materials, and logistics. Through this initiative, we are seeking support to ensure that all group members can fully participate and benefit equally from this valuable learning experience.
Your support will not only help us complete our project successfully but will also contribute to educating young students about the importance of sustainability and responsible tourism.
