Following our performance at the IOMMa – Indian Ocean Music Market in Réunion Island in June 2025, Emlyn & VannSiwa were noticed by Australian industry professionals attending the event and have since been invited to represent Mauritius at the prestigious Woodford Folk Festival in Brisbane, Australia, from 28 December 2025 to 1 January 2026. This will mark the first time a Mauritian artist or band performs at this renowned festival!

Why is it important for us to accept this invitation?

The Woodford Folk Festival stands as Australia’s largest gathering of artists and musicians, offering an unparalleled platform for international exposure. Each year, over 2,000 local and international performers entertain more than 25,000 visitors daily in a vibrant village built from the ground up by 1,000 volunteers and contractors. Hosted on a former dairy farm regenerated with over 140,000 rainforest trees, Woodfordia transforms into Australia’s 67th largest town during the event, celebrated for its iconic Opening Ceremony and spectacular New Year’s Day showcase.

The festival does not cover air tickets, and we therefore need your invaluable support to make this incredible opportunity a reality!
