Yoan Chette, aged 29 years, residing in Port Louis, has met with an accident last year due to which his cervical disk has been moved. Following his first MRI, he was put under treatment by his treating doctor, when the reports did not show how much the disk has moved. 

Since October this year, he was not feeling too well. When he went to see the doctor, he underwent a second MRI where he was told that he has no other choice than to do the surgery, if not, he can be paralysed in the future. This unforeseen event has not only caused immense physical pain but has also taken a toll on his emotional well-being.

The cost of this procedure, however, is substantial and exceeds what Yoan and his family can manage on their own. The operation will cost around MUR 600,000. The full amount has to be paid before his admission for the surgery for his cervical disk replacement.
