Rs 300,000

We are raising funds to help 4 women ( Précilla, Thessa, Francine, and Dorothy) realize their dream of being independent financially by earning a living through their culinary talents.

Précilla, now a widow, loves cooking and so does her family (her son and ex-husband are both confirmed cooks). She has been for 29 years working as a caregiver to her disabled niece who passed away in April this year. While looking after her niece for the past 29 years, she also cooked food for other people as a "hobby" and at the same time to make ends meet. With the help of her brother-in -Iaw,(Jocelyn, who has a marketing background) a Facebook page was created for that purpose: Caffrine Délices.

Though Précilla was only cooking for pleasure and for a part time income,Caffrine Délices participated successfully in some culinary events like Porlwi by Nite, Gourmets Expérience and Caudan Food Festival.

After the death of her niece, she decided to make a living out of her cooking talents,  She managed to get a stall to sell her food on Saturdays at Le Cap Tamarin and also get some regular clients who seek for her catering services for their parties or during weekends and public holidays. With the increase in orders, she called her daughter, niece, and sister-in-law (Thessa, Francine and Dorothy). to join hands with her.Till now, she has been cooking at her place.

Since last month, she has been given the opportunity to have a PERMANENT stall in a well-known Shopping Mall in Tamarin. THIS IS A DREAM COME TRUE for her and her team! The management of the mall in a spirit of helping SME's, is very flexible with the payment terms of leasing, advance fees as well as for the cost of some equipment. Still, Précilla and her team need more funds to get the proper professional tools and equipment to abide by the standard of the Shopping Mall.

For info, it is good to point out that the management of the mall had allowed the Caffrine Délices Team to make a trial on 3 days with its clients, prior to finalising the decision to grant a stall to them. The response was beyond expectations for both parties. The type of food proposed is effectively in high demand. This is why everyone is confident about the project.

The funds raised will help for purchasing of:

1. Fridge

2. Oven

3. Microwave

4. Rice Cooker

5. Professioanl Kitchen Hood

6. Extractor

7. Professional Cooking Utensils
