4th Edition Beach Kirtan Festival 2026
Beach Kirtan Festival 2026 – A Sacred Gathering by the Ocean
On 12th April 2026, something beautiful is coming to the shores of Mauritius.
At the Flic-en-Flac Public Beach, behind the Police Station, the sound of the ocean will merge with the rhythm of mrdanga, kartal and harmonium as voices rise together in joyful devotional chanting.
This is the vision of the Beach Kirtan Festival 2026 — a unique spiritual gathering where music, community and nature unite.
In a world where people often feel stressed, disconnected and overwhelmed, kirtan offers something powerful and simple: coming together to chant, celebrate and reconnect with the heart.
Imagine hundreds of people sitting together on the sand as the sun begins to set. The sea breeze moves through the crowd, sacred melodies fill the air, and people from different backgrounds chant together in harmony. For a few hours, the beach becomes a space of peace, unity and spiritual joy.
The Beach Kirtan Festival 2026 aims to create a welcoming atmosphere where everyone can experience the beauty of devotional music and community spirit.
The festival will include:
• Uplifting kirtan sessions with talented local and visiting kirtan leaders
• Inspiring spiritual and cultural sharing (Interfaith Booth) and Kids Corner
• Prasadam (free blessed vegetarian meals) distributed to the community
• A peaceful environment for meditation, chanting and reflection by the ocean
• A gathering that welcomes families, youth and people from all backgrounds
Our goal is to make this event accessible to everyone, so that anyone who wishes can come and experience the joy of kirtan.
However, organising such a community event requires support. Expenses include sound equipment, stage setup, permits, logistics, accommodation for guest kirtan leaders, and food preparation for prasadam distribution.
This is why we are turning to the community.
Your contribution will help us bring this vision to life and create a beautiful spiritual experience that can touch hundreds of hearts.
Every donation — big or small — helps spread the spirit of devotion, harmony and togetherness in Mauritius.
By supporting the Beach Kirtan Festival 2026, you are not just supporting an event.
You are helping create a sacred moment where music, faith and community meet on the shores of our island.
Together, let us fill the beach with joyful chanting, shared smiles and the uplifting power of kirtan.
Your humble servant
