The Yeshua Fellowship is a non-profit organization in a modern concept of Christian humanitarian aid work founded. The concept based on this bible verse: For God is not unrighteous, to forget your work and the love which you have shown for his name, having rendered, and still rendering service to the saints. (Hebrews 6:10).   On 10 August 2014 with the support of Khadaroo, Auckloo, and Purmanund the Yeshua Fellowship was born and as a Non- Governmental Organization to alleviate the suffering of people around Mauritius.

With the experience of 21 years in social work of our founder and several surveys on the different areas around Mauritius the Services of Yeshua Fellowship was designed and accepted by the registrar of association with the 5 main actions as shown below:
• Family Empowerment Program
• Community Accountability Program
• Youth Empowerment Program
• Human / Civil Rights Training, Awareness, and Defending
• Duke Edinburgh Program

The Yeshua Fellowship is also representing the Youth for Human Rights International, United for Human Rights International, The Way to Happiness Foundation, Global Youth Assembly, and African Changemaker in Mauritius.

With Golden rules that we are all equal and also that if we want to change the world, we need to start by ourselves first the Yeshua fellowship is working with the following program as shown below. Youth or people who have political influences are not being taken as members or volunteers in any of our programs.

1.  Community Accountability Program (CAP)
CAP supports those involved in programs and operations to adopt innovative approaches to better understand and engage with people and communities and help them address unhealthy and unsafe practices. It maximizes the Yeshua Fellowship’s unique relationship with the community to help them speak out about the issues that affect them and influence decisions and policymakers to implement positive changes.

While CAP is not a new or stand-alone program, adopting a more systematic approach to CAP contributes to improved accountability to communities, which builds acceptance and trust and supports more sustainable program outcomes. Ultimately, this helps communities take an active role in building long-term resilience by enabling them to become more knowledgeable, skilled, connected, and to bring about the behavior and social changes needed to address risks and underlying vulnerabilities.

2. Youth Empowerment Programme

We encourage engagement of youth action from design to implementation and follow-up, in their communities through the scaling up of youth-led initiatives, and in the policy agenda through the integration of
Youth concerns and issues.
Youth Career Success program
Functional literacy program
Duke Edinburgh Programme

The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation drives and supports the Award’s global growth, so more young people can undertake the world’s leading youth achievement award.

The Yeshua Fellowship has brought this program for our youth with the support of the Ministry of Youth Sport since March 2019.
By creating opportunities for young people to develop skills, get physically active, give service, and experience adventure, the Award can play a critical role in their development outside the classroom. It also allows their achievement to be consistently recognized worldwide, giving young people unique international accreditation of their experiences.  Our ambition is that every young people aged 14 to 24 in the world should have the opportunity to participate in the Award.

3. Human / Civil Rights Training, Awareness, and Defending

With the support of youth for Human rights, we have been able to provide human rights awareness and training to our people. We have been able to voice out 54 human rights violations, touch 1978 indirectly, and directly 317 individual awareness sessions only last year.

4. The Way to Happiness Program

It provides a moral code based wholly on common sense with the support of the way to Happiness Foundation. The Way to Happiness was written to fill this moral vacuum in society. With the following programs, tailored kits, and steps, anyone can guide others to a better quality of life and happiness.
The mission of The Way to Happiness Foundation International is to reverse the moral decay of society by restoring trust and honesty the world over through the publication and widespread distribution of The Way to Happiness, a common sense guide to better living.
That mission is accomplished on a grass-roots level, worldwide, by individuals who share The Way to Happiness book with others and so bring about an increase in tolerance and understanding between families, friends, groups, communities, nations, and Mankind—making a safer, less violent world for all.

 5. Family Empowerment Program. (FEP)

The Family Empowerment Program supports individuals and families through resource navigation and community building to foster self-sufficiency and enhance the quality of life.
The Family Empowerment Program (FEP) housed at Yeshua Fellowship office and coordinated by on-site social workers, liaison officers are a key point for social, health, and economic access, education support, and community navigation. FEP serves families living in 19 communities around Mauritius. Through partnerships and programming, the FEP has developed social services program whose purpose is substantially to improve article 25 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights outcomes for 6300+ individuals currently living in different communities.

The FEP is designed to be flexible enough to address the needs a vulnerable individual may have a referral for housing, provide food assistance, and have access to all government services, all using the tools of self-empowerment, self-reliance, and agency with the support and coaching of the FEP team. This person-centered approach to case management allows for staff/volunteers to become familiar with everyone in the FEP, ensuring that programming and available services meet the needs of the individual as well as those of the southern side of Mauritius ensuring a community-minded approach.
By establishing and nurturing community connections while establishing relevant goals for participants, the FEP helps its residents achieve success by assisting them in gaining traction at their jobs, improving education, financial literacy, and other measures that are designed to help families work their way to self-sufficiency.

Who can help?
Anyone can support us national or international level

Why should people help?
Inner Satisfaction
Human beings are social people. They take care of each other and feel good when someone extends their help to them in their time of need. So, when they find someone who they care about, in need of help, they gladly help them, without expecting any kind of a favor in return. This gives them a feeling of satisfaction and fulfillment.

Trust Factor
Face value is an especially important thing in this modern world. People tend to trust people who have a clean image and are publicly acceptable. So, when such a person appeals for help, people tend to open their arms without giving it a second thought. For example, if Crowd Fund endorses an NGO, it is sure to get more help than the NGO he does not endorse.

Making lives better
People tend to be more sympathetic to the people with whom they can relate. They understand their problems more easily and can relate to their issues. This is why people donate to a charity whose work has a positive impact on the people who are similar to them.
Support your favorite cause
Each person is unique. They have a particular set of beliefs, they have different ideas about different things and this individuality is what makes humans such interesting in making a better world. So, when they find that their beliefs are similar to an NGO project, they become attached to it and tend to support the cause they really care about.

Transparency
Not every NGO can be similarly efficient as others. Some work more diligently than others. This difference is taken into consideration by the donor and so he chooses the project which is more transparent and competent.
